This is my KHS hardtail. Like almost all my bikes, I built this bike up from the frame, which I bought used. It's made from TrueTemper OX-III steel, a high-quality hardened steel alloy. I like the look and feel of steel bicycles. When I decided to get a new mountain bike, I wanted to get a Bontrager, but couldn't afford it. KHS makes decent frames, and being a smaller manufacturer they often have better quality frames at the same price point as the bigger companies like Specialized and Trek.

That being said, the frame is probably not the greatest, but for the kind of riding I do, it does fine. It has a Manitous SX-Ti fork in red to match the highlights of frame decals. I also found a WTB saddle with yellow kevlar sides, and the frame came with a red Kore Elite seatpost. Color coordination was apparently a big deal when I built this up. Since this picture was taken, I've zip tied a siamese bendy figure to the front.
