This is my fixed gear, a '70s era Crescent frame with Nervex lugs and horizontal Campagnolo dropouts that I built up. I got the frame on ebay for $70. I liked the headbadge and the lugs, but the paint was in horrible shape, and it was an ugly orange color.

So, I had it repainted at CyclArt, which is in my hometown of Vista, CA. The color is a nice forest green, with silver highlights around the lugs. I bought a pre-built wheel from Harris Cyclery in Boston, along with a few other parts for building up the bike as a fixed gear. The rear hub is a Sovos flip-flop hub, which currently doesn't have anything on the other side, as I sold the single-speed freewheel that used to be on it to a friend.

The saddle is a Rivendell Brooks B.17 with copper rivets. I also picked up some mustache bars from Rivendell. There's only one brake, in the rear, as you don't need one up front with a fixed-gear. Since I use this bike all the time, I added some SKS fenders.

The bike ended up looking very nice, and I often get compliments on it around town. Riding a fixed-gear is a lot of fun, although at this point I don't notice it anymore.
